Spring in NP and everything is torn up

Our town is undergoing some major construction. We received some grants last year. One of the grants was "safe route to school" It paid for all new side walks to be put in through the city. As well as new lighting on those side walks. They have part of the sidewalks completed. Now they are working on the ones downtown in the business area. It is a mess now, but it will be very nice when it is completed.
They also got a grant to replace all of the sewer systems in the city. So every road has been dug up. It is not uncommon to drive along and see a big hole right in the middle of the road. They keep them well marked, so people like me wont end up in the hole!
After they finish the side walks they got another grant to repave the road going through town.
Scott Moscrip, our old mayor, was the one that was instrumental in getting all of these grants. He also owns 3/4 of the town. So he is putting all new roofs, and siding on alot of the buildings. Just trying to make the town look nicer. He bought the old Jims Tire building. He is in the process of tearing it down right now and will be putting in a new Internet Truck Stop Building.
So if you ever get the opportunity of driving through our wonderful little town, you are in the know! :)

I am REALLY wanting a trip to NP soon, but we will see. I would love to see the improvements. It will look really nice, I'm sure. Glad the holes are marked! If I come really soon, I will be on the look-out!
